PTE FAQ
Pearson Test of English (PTE) is a two-hour test conducted worldwide. It helps students demonstrate their English language skills. After the students get their desired scores on these tests, they can pursue their educational, professional, and immigration aspirations in Australia, New Zealand, and now in Canada.
At Wings Education, we only provide training for PTE and enable students to pass their tests, mostly on the first attempt. For the real test, PTE allocates centres. Go to https://www.pearsonpte.com/test-centers-and-fees for the list of centres.
We provide 3 live online and face-to-face classes a day. Students can attend any class, any day, at their convenience.

Yes, we provide online classes. Students from all over the world attend the classes via Zoom meetings. We conduct LIVE online classes on weekdays and weekends.
Yes, our specialised trainers provide special one-on-one feedback at 6 pm β 7 pm daily Monday to Friday.
Yes, we have strategy videos, which are the recorded lessons. These are provided on our practice portal, and you can access them anytime during the day or night.
Yes, online classes' structure is similar to face-to-face classes. Local students in Brisbane can come to the centre face-to-face and attend the live classes or attend the same classes online if they cannot make it face-to-face.
At Wings, in the beginning, you will go through the PTE orientation and acquire brief knowledge about the test and our methodology. Initial sessions will be provided one-on-one to beginners. After that, students are ready to join others in the ongoing classes.
Yes, we work on both weekdays and Saturdays. The class time on Saturday is 10 am to 12 noon. This is a special two-hour workshop, as we intend to cover content for students who are catching up, struggling, or canβt make it on weekdays. Our weekend classes are super popular with both online and face-to-face students.
On weekends, we also conduct two-hour mock tests. This allows the students to analyse their mock tests, identify the questions they need to improve on, receive strategies from the teacher, and work on them on the weekend.
Our success rate is 99 percent. Since we only believe in giving short-term packages, we ask our students to display commitment and attendance for a period of one or two months. We ask them to prioritise IELTS preparation for that time. During this time, we provide the materials, tricks, strategies, tips, and one-on-one customised plans to improve their modules. This allows them to work intensively and gives them success, mostly on the first attempt.
It usually depends on your score requirements and your previous level of English proficiency. Our students usually get their scores within one or two months.
IELTS combines human and computer assessment, while PTE is entirely computer-based. The IELTS test lasts 40 minutes, whereas the PTE is two hours long.
IELTS Speaking is analysed and scored by a human being; PTE Speaking is analysed by an AI-marked computer system.
IELTS writing involves a lot of thinking, and PTE writing can be easily achieved with the help of templates.
In IELTS, you can retake one skill, whereas in PTE, you must rebook the whole test.
PTE is a template-based, computer-delivered test. This makes it more predictable and easier to prepare for. However, students who struggle with pronunciation find PTE speaking challenging.
Students generally find it easier to accomplish their desired scores in PTE than in IELTS

The cost of the PTE test according to the Pearson website is $445(GST inclusive).
A student who is committed can easily prepare for the test in a month or two. The best way to check whether you are ready or not for the test, is to appear in a mock test. According to the PTE website, results are received within five business days of your test date. However, usually students receive their results within a day or two of the test.
We have different packages based on the support you might need. Our regular packages suffice for all students. However, some students who really struggle with their pronunciation, grammar, fluency, or content require a premium package, in which we provide intensive one-on-one customised packages. Having duplicate accounts can cause issues with test scheduling and score access, so itβs best to contact Pearson PTE support to resolve the issue. Usually the PTE support team merges the accounts and then you are able to access that one account.
To book the test, you need your passport identification. Please make sure that you put the same name as in the passport. Same first, middle and last name, same spellings. We have witnessed students who are not allowed to sit in the already booked test if their name is different than that on the passport.

What do I do before PTE Exam?
BEFORE EXAM
First, create a myPTE account. Then click on βSign inβ to book your test.
Remember:
- Do not create more than one account.

If you donβt have a βfamily name/Surnameβ or your βGiven Nameβ and βFamily Nameβ are the same, enter it in your βGiven Nameβ field and put βfull stopβ in the βSurnameβ field.
