What is IELTS?

IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is a test that aims to assist people to realise their aspirations of working, studying, or relocating to an English-speaking country.
There are two types of IELTS exams: Academic and General Training.

IELTS Academic
IELTS Academic is for you if you aim to pursue higher education or professional registration. IELTS Academic evaluates your English proficiency to determine whether you are ready to study undergraduate or postgraduate courses in English or work as a professional such as a doctor, teacher, or lawyer.

IELTS General Training
IELTS General Training is required if you plan to migrate to an English-speaking country like Australia, Canada, New Zealand, or the UK.

IELTS TEST FORMAT

Both IELTS Academic and IELTS General Training have four sections: Speaking, Listening, Reading, and Writing. The Listening and Speaking sections are the same, but the Reading and Writing sections differ.

Who needs IELTS?

IELTS is required for students for university admissions, professionals for employment or certification, immigrants for visas, and sometimes by government agencies for language proficiency assessment.

What is the process of doing IELTS?

Step 1

BOOK A FREE DEMO

  2. Have a feel of the class- online or face-to-face classes- 3 different times- 5 days a week, weekend Saturday class available- See timetable
  3. Pay fees
  4. Fill enrolment
  5. Take regular classes
  6. Practice on Wings Education Portal

Step 2

TAKE A MOCK TEST

  1. Attend all the classes
  2.  Practice all question types
  3. Give a sectional mock test– just listening or just reading
  4. Book a one-on-one with the teacher to get strategies for the questions that you are struggling with
  5. Give a full mock test
  6. Get a teacher to analyse the full mock test, and the teacher will give strategies to improve on questions
  7. Once the mock test is closer to the desired score, ask the teacher if you are ready to book the test

Step 3

BOOK THE REAL TEST

  1. You need a passport/ID to book the real test
  2.  Ask the Wings admin staff about which centre is best for booking the real PTE test
  3. The time for the test should be when your brain is most fresh
  4.  Take the test
  5.  You will get your scores within five business days (usually within a day or two)
  6. Celebrate at Wings- Bring chocolates, ring the success bell and celebrate!!!
