If you are new to PTE academic, understand the test format, scorings and preparation tactics to ensure your success and achieve the desired score. Do some research, and you will find out how it is probably the best test format for you to get into your dream universities. Also, before applying, understand the score set by different universities and it may differ from one institution to other and type of course you intend to take. Normally, the general level of expected score for post graduate study is overall 58 and no less than 50 in each of the communicative skills, which is equivalent to overall 6.5 in IELTS and no less than 6 band in each section of IELTS. For undergraduate qualification, the applicants need to have overall 50 in PTE and no less than 42, which is equivalent to 6.0 overall band in IELTS and no less than 5.5 in each section of IELTS. The above-mentioned score are just guidelines, however, make sure what exactly expected by universities and courses you are applying.
