IELTS requirement for Australian Immigration, general training or academic?

Moving to Australia is big step and becoming competitive. It is one of the few countries in the world that requires and welcome people. However, there are plenty of visa option available and depends on the individual situation. Generally, if you would like to categorize the Visa, it is student /visa and general visa. For students, it is quite simple that they need to take IELTS for Australian Immigration. The requirement score depends on the university, course of study, or level of study. Most of the course will require student have minimum competent level of English. First it is important to understand the proficiency level based on the ILETS scoring, to understand it easily, the level has been classified into functional, vocational, proficient and competent and superior. For functional English, student needs to achieve the overall score of 4.5. for vocational level, the score needs to be 5 in all the test components including speaking, reading, writing, and Listening. For the skilled based Australian Visa’s or applying for PR, the general IELTS is needed. There are different types of options available, which is categorised into Skilled independent, Regional and nominated visa. And temporary skilled Visa’s, each Visa have subcategories depends on individual field. However, most of the visa’s ate issued based on the point system, therefore, the more points an applicant have, the better the chances they must be called for applied category. To improve your points, one should score minimum of seven overall, and in all components, scoring seven or proficient level would give 10 points for the applicants and scoring eight overall and in all components would give them 20 points. Despite the minimum scoring, the applicants must try to achieve more score either proficient or superior to improve their points as most of application are selected on the total points, and this language ability will give 20 points in total. The points are given for different factors such as age, qualification, experience, and local education, and so on. However, scoring 20 points in the language test would be advantageous for applicants in terms of getting selected by DHA.
