IELTS FAQ
(International English Language Testing System) IELTS is a test that aims to assist people to realise their aspirations of working, studying, or relocating to an English-speaking country.
1. IELTS Academic is for academic purposes, such as university admissions, while IELTS General is for immigration and work purposes.
2. Modules of Reading and Writing are different for each test type. For IELTS Academic, Task 1 describes visual information, while the task is an essay.
For IELTS General, Task 1 includes a letter and Task 2 includes an essay.
Every Wednesday from 9 am to 1.30 pm, Wings conducts an IELTS comprehensive mock test. The teacher conducts a speaking mock test. Then, all the students sit in our mock test room and appear in the rest of the three modules.
After the mock test, the teacher will take it and give them one-on-one feedback.
Our highly experienced trainers mark the writing tasks and provide customised feedback for IELTS writing tasks, enabling students to improve their IELTS writing skills.
IELTS can be easy if you have good English language skills and are well prepared. Familiarity with the test format and practising with sample tests can greatly help.
IELTS combines human and computer assessment, while PTE is entirely computer-based. The IELTS test lasts 40 minutes, whereas the PTE is two hours long.
IELTS Speaking is analysed and scored by a human being; PTE Speaking is analysed by an AI-marked computer system.
IELTS writing involves a lot of thinking, and PTE writing can be easily achieved with the help of templates.
In IELTS, you can retake one skill, whereas in PTE, you must rebook the whole test.
PTE is a template-based, computer-delivered test. This makes it more predictable and easier to prepare for. However, students who struggle with pronunciation find PTE speaking challenging.
Students generally find it easier to accomplish their desired scores in PTE than in IELTS.
Both are English language testing systems, but there are some differences between them:
1. The IELTS test is accepted more widely than the PTE Academic for visa purposes.
2. The IELTS test is both a pen-and-paper test and a computerised test, while the PTE is a computerised test only.
3. One Skill Retake is available in IELTS only.
One Skill Retake is a facility where the test-taker can take just one module without taking the full test.
Eligibility:
1.You must have taken the full computerised IELTS test at an eligible test centre.
2.You should have received the score for the full IELTS test.
3.The retake should be taken within 60 days of your original test date.
The test will cost you $445 AUD.
Preparing for the IELTS test usually takes 6-8 weeks, but the time needed can vary depending on your current level of English proficiency.
Our success rate is 99 percent. Since we only believe in giving short-term packages, we ask our students to display commitment and attendance for a period of one or two months. We ask them to prioritise IELTS preparation for that time. During this time, we provide the materials, tricks, strategies, tips, and one-on-one customised plans to improve their modules. This allows them to work intensively and gives them success, mostly on the first attempt.
We have various packages. For packages go on IELTS page or call Nikki on +61492947890
