The IELTS computer-based test is similar in pattern to the paper based IELTS, however, the components are tested using the computers except for speaking. The reading, listening, and writing components are tested with the computer. According to the IELTS, they retain the same method of speaking test to ensure the reliability of speaking score. Speaking is conducted in a quiet room, and interactive based as we have already known. The interaction with examiner has its advantages because the accent, voices do not matter, and they understand by asking the question repeatedly if required. The other significant advantage of IELTS is that the test taker will receive their score in two days’ time, whereas the previous paper-based tests will take about up to 12 days approximately. In the writing test, though computer based, the writing component is scored by examiners, and that ensures the high level of fairness and to retain the quality of the test. The computer-based test is offered in two formats, which is IELTS academic, and IELTS general.   In computer based IELTS, for the listening, test takers will get some amount of time to read the questions, and at the same time, they do get some time to review their answers, at the end of the test student will have two minutes to check the answers. The time for the listening test is between 30-34 minutes. The computer based ILETS test attracts many students because of faster results, relaxing environment, and more test availability. The Computer based IELTS tests are being conducted in the custom-built test location, and provided with the noise cancelling headphones, and staffs available to assist students during the test. Further, during the reading, and listening, test takers could highlight the texts, which means finding the answers will be easier even if you are used to the paper-based tests. Also, the answers could be directly copied and pasted, and have option to browse backward and forward to make the reading part quite easier.

ILETS computer-based test is one sure short answer for PTE test, the best part is that the IELTS retained the speaking, which means for some students it offers more advantages, in reading, the IELTS do not need to know lots of vocabulary, most of the parts are tested for comprehensive skills, and listening also have fair amount of time to check the answers and to read the questions. According to IELTS, many students have done the computer-based test have found it easier than the paper based one. The PTE and IELTS have lots of significant differences in terms of scoring and the way test being conducted, So, we suggest that you will understand the differences and assess your strength, and weakness before deciding which test to go for.
